This week the Trial Chamber continued to hear the testimony of Expert Witness Mr. Henri Locard, who was questioned by the two defense teams. The Expert also testified about his knowledge of DK security centers and CPK slogans. Following the conclusion of Mr. Locard’s testimony, Witness 2-TCW-976 testified under a pseudonym in line with the Trial Chamber’s guidelines on maintaining the confidentiality of witnesses who are part of ongoing investigations. The Witness provided largely contradictory testimony about his time as a messenger in the Northwest Zone, and had limited knowledge of purges that allegedly took place there. Finally, this week the Trial Chamber heard from Witness Chen Saroeun, a former member of Division 920, who testified about internal conflict and purges in Mondulkiri Province. On Thursday the Trial Chamber held a trial management meeting, largely in camera, in order to discuss scheduling and the admission of new documents into Case 002/02 which have come to light in ongoing investigations.
