This week the Trial Chamber heard the testimony of one Witness in closed session and spent the rest of the week on the presentation of key documents related to the regulation of marriage. Witness 2-TCW-1002 was heard in closed session on Monday 5 September as his testimony relates to ongoing investigations in Cases 003 and 004. Before going into closed session the Trial Chamber also heard responses to a number of requests to admit new documents ahead of upcoming Expert testimony of 2-TCE-82. On Tuesday, the OCP and LCLCP presented key documents related to the regulation of marriage and which they believe demonstrate there was a nation-wide policy on marriage that had nuances in different areas. The Defense Teams declined to present any documents, however on Thursday the Khieu Samphan Defense responded to the documents presented by the OCP and LCLCP. After this the Chamber heard responses to a number of scheduling concerns.
